We provide a wide range of travel vaccinations to ensure a safe and healthy journey for our customers. Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, our experienced team will provide you with the necessary vaccinations(except Yellow fever) .Call us now to discuss your vaccine requirements.
If you don't know which vaccines you need we can provide a travel consultation at a minimum cost.
Please note : Travel vaccinations are subject to availability as it gets out of stock in the peak season e.g Summer / School Half Terms etc
At Ongar Road Pharmacy, we provide Vitamin B12 service. Those who need Vitamin B12 we provide them in an injection form.
To use the service , you have to buy a voucher on Vitajab.co.uk who will check at the same time whether you qualify to use the service or not. Once you buy the voucher give us a call to book your appointment and bring the voucher number or a QR code when attending the appointment.

Seasonal Flu and Covid Vaccines
We provide Seasonal Flu and NHS Covid-19 vaccines.
Flu vaccines are available free to those who are eligible under the NHS criteria ( Please note that the inclusion criteria are subject to change ) . For those who don't qualify for the free vaccine , we also provide private flu jab at a cost.

Seasonal Covid-19 vaccines are available during certain times of the year and this will be determined by the NHS. NHS will send reminder letters to the eligible patients in most cases, however you should not rely on this and make your own inquires.

NHS Pharmacy First Service
At Ongar Road Pharmacy , we provide Pharmacy First Service.
NHS Pharmacy first service consists of Seven Services for which the Pharmacist will be able to supply Prescription only medicines if clinically appropriate.
The Seven Services are
1) Acute Sore Throat
2) Acute Sinusitis
3) Shingles
4) Impetigo
5) Acute Otitis Media
6) Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infection in Women
7) Infected Insect Bites
Period Delay
We provide Period delay tablets to those who need to delay their period for holidays , weddings or any other special moments.
This service is a private service and there is a charge for this. After a small consultation, pharmacist will make a decision whether to supply a tablet or not.

General Well-Being Blood Tests
We provide private Blood Tests Service. These are general well being tests and should not be used in place of the one GP has asked you to take.

Please note: This service consists of withdrawing a blood, therefore if you are not comfortable, please do not book the appointment and discuss with your GP instead.
Contraception Service
We provide NHS Contraception Service.

Under this service you do not have to visit your GP or order you next supply of a pill from your GP. You can simply book the appointment at our pharmacy and one of our pharmacist will provide consultation and supply you the pill if clinically appropriate.
Blood Pressure Check
We provide NHS Blood presssure check service for those who are age 40 or over and who are not diagnosed as a blood pressure patient.
